Slide 12: Google Glass Intelligent Locations: Personal and Product

(Take me to the beginning of these slides, from my Society for Health Systems Healthcare Systems Process Improvement Conference presentation on Google Glass and health IT workflow, immediately before HIMSS14. Text accompanying slides is colloquial because it was transcribed from audio recording.)

Where is Glass?

Just like “When is Glass?”, “Where is Glass?” has two senses. There is your personal geographical context. If you ask for Starbucks, it’ll try to show you the closest one. Some checklist apps try to remind you to get milk just as your passing a super market. Then there is the product location. For now, except for informal export over which Google cannot control, Google is focusing on North American, primarily because Glass is tuned best to the North American accent.
